Introducing Cultural Studies tackles a complex topic, breaking it down into smaller areas of study enhancing the level of understanding the readers will have. This was a perfect introduction into cultural studies for me as it approaches the topic from the very beginning, addressing and asking the question 'what actually is cultural studies?' without being slow paced. Very helpful for someone who intends to study this and simply enjoyable for anyone else.

Spencer and Krauze separate the key points of The Enlightenment into different sections turning the format into something slightly story-like. This style ensures that it is easy to comprehend and extremely interesting; turning each vital idea of the movement into a new chapter about different characters. It is an exciting way of displaying information and allows readers to fully understand the concept without being at all daunting.

This guide offers interesting arguments to various understandings of Media Studies, as a school subject or otherwise. Providing both the for and against allows readers to create a full and unbiased opinion. Upon reading this I felt far more comfortable in my opinion on the subject and was truly interested in some of the ideas expressed in the book. Definitely worth a read.
